San Diego home resales flatten, price rise slows.

The Multiple Listing Service showed a total of 1,753 detached sales were recorded in September, 4.62 percent less than the 1,838 recorded in September 2001 -- the month of the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon (news - web sites).

The San Diego Association of Realtors reported the average price of a detached home was $456,720 in September, 22 percent more than $374,346 in September 2001.
