Saddam hasn't changed but rather our point of view re him has. Its what makes us look hypocritical and dishonest. ? Even if the first sentence is true how does it make the second one true? Tim, because at one point we had endorsed him on some kind of basis.....certainly not wholeheartedly but enough to aid him in his conflict with Iran because it suited our purposes at that time. Now some years later we are claiming that he is next to Satan in terms of evilness. You don't think that someone who uses a person for their gain, and then turns on that person later when the person is no longer useful is not hypocritical and shallow? The same qualities or characteristis that describe individuals in a society also describe a nation among other nations. ted
