The Vikings may descent from Normans, but if Normans are from Normandy, I'll have to tell you what war technique was used for centuries along the French rivers.

A Viking ship will come upriver, sometimes with horses. The guys would go to attack a village by surprise (speed), they lock everybody in the church, then they set some house on fire, and they start fleeing with whatever they found.

But I've seen their genes around, the nice ones, on ladies of course; and when I could get away with it I'd say : "Les Vikings ? Trop de vols pas assez de viols." "Too many thefts, not enough rapes."

Because Calvodos is free for peasants, and they abused.

BTW, you have nothing to be offended about ;^)

conservative bucketheads...LOLOLOL that's a good one...and yeah, just because the French don't want to join Bush on his collision course with destiny does not make zem ze wimps. After all they aided us against the Brits and through Jefferson gave us ice cream and French fries two staples of the Standard American Diet. LOLOL

..More recently the Vasa kings bested armies all over Central, Eastern Europe and Russia - clearly outnumbered, they had a tremendous fighting spirit which allowed them to prevail.

More recently, huh? You mean the 13th and 14th centuries as opposed to the 9th and 10th? :-)

Actually, I do remember reading about Charles VII of Sweden in some European history class a loooong time ago, but we both know Sweden took itself out of the running for military powerhood an even longer time ago. WWI is not ancient history, however. So why do you call it "racist/nationalist garbage" when I say that the trauma of WWI, as explified by the battle of Verdun, had an impact on France's "willingness to fight" from the 1920's onward? Is it any different, say, from the effect of Vietnam on the US? (and anyway, what's so "racist" about it? Sorry, but if you're going to compete with Bilow in the FADG Best Non-Sequitur of the Week contest, you'll have to do better than that. :-))
