Is it still your thought that the Vietnamese were happy with the South Vietnamese government?

All the refugees from North Vietnam into South Vietnam thought South Vietnam was preferable.

All the refugees from South Vietnam after 1975 (1.5 million) thought South Vietnam government was preferable to North Vietnam.

You seem to have some very strange ideas about the benevolence of Ho Chi Minh.

I am willing to entertain many arguments about the history of war in Vietnam, but the argument that we were keeping the Vietnamese from self rule is one of the less defendable, in my opinion.

We did everything we could to prop up a viable South Vietnamese government. Every communist country was, or is, a totalitarian dictatorship. No self rule allowed.

So...the North Vietnamese were "happier" than the South Vietnamese?
