whew, now I don't have to update charts anymore -g-

here's the pattern which may play out from here, subject to a few things falling into place (like the market not blasting off from here):

geocities.com

we had the initial bottom in the McClellan oscillator on 7/23/02

then the top on 8/22/02, from where we had a 5 wave down in the oscillator to 10/9/02

now we should get a 3 wave up to the important top

and then...the final decline, which, from the intraday high 6/16/32 at 51.40 to the final intraday low on 7/8/32 at 40.60 was a 21% decline

curiously enough, the first rally after the bottom on 5/31/32, the end of the 5 wave down in the oscillator, was a 13.9% rally on a closing basis, similar to the 14.2% rally off the 10/9/02 low

after such a decline there would be a triple higher bottoms pattern in the oscillator starting from the 7/23/02 low which could produce one heck of a rally (94% in two months from 7/8/32)

the Nasdaq market today should be compared to the Dow then, because it is the Nasdaq that is in the crash pattern off the early 2000 highs

current McClellan charts:

ONE PROBLEM: "McClellan makes a very strong case that a new cyclical bull market has started, and if everything goes as expected it should last 12-18 months. He also talks about what it would take to either negate, or, further confirm the bullish scenario."
