In most areas the best have so much work they pass off to HD & LOW + etc. The fly bys are best to stay far away from! There is one roofer in my area that only does it as a side job. He has much more work than he will take-- besides,, once deer season starts he is finished,, one crew & 1 job at a time. Inexpensive too. The only one close in quality is so high few but commercial accts can afford them. I doubt Lee had a problem with the contractor-- more HD sales clerk & supplier. HD is building smaller stores in some areas. In the South they are planning Lawn, Garden, & Landscape specialty stores too. I hold a little but sold my trading shares Fri @ the close. I was up 20.4% in 12 days (same with IBM up 25.6% in the same time. Until the mkts stabilize it is a good by on the dips to hold,, but much better as a trader. HD is not set up as cute for the ladies or urban hubby with zero+ skills. They seem to cater more to the contractor and handy- handyman. I'm told their clerks generally are more helpful & can answer more questions CORRECTLY. In my area they are less expensive than LOW. Years ago I looked at ARMS. Did not find any value in it.This mkt is scarey to everyone. The 1st sign of good news came last week as bonds were sold and equities bought. The amount makes it look like the institutions are dipping back in. Looks like a election rally is possible then a pullback, then Santa comes before the the next dip. It is best to trade value on dips and be nimble. There are few things I'm adding to hold now and that is mostly only putting profits from trading into brkb & wpo on dips. Many are calling for huge drops-- I'm guessing we still have a little upside and higher lows at least until summer barring any stupid shit happening & Bush either stops the war talk or gets it moving-- a requirement to get oil back to acceptable levels. Oil is now a drag on the economy & EPS. Why Bush did not keep quiet and just have Saddam assassinated is beyond me,,
