As well as which, China is the engine-room of the global economy. If the USA bombs the engine-room, the repercussions would be unpleasant for the rest of the world as well as the stokers.

Yes, it's true that they don't have the money, yet, and they work for low pay, but weigh the non-agricultural production of China and imagine it gone. Those enjoying Made in China products would notice a decided change in inventory at their local shops.

Iraq just has oil and there are plenty of other suppliers. So there would be no significant disruption if Iraq simply vanished from earth. It would be like NZ disappearing - it would enable the USA to recover the America's Cup, but would otherwise go unremarked.
