I was wondering if anyone would take notice of the " list " of Americana.Maybe I should have edited it<G>It's so funny ( to me anyway )of the perceptions and " lists " of what J6P thinks makes up other countries, but for this journalist,it was likely just the easy shtick to get by with.

But it is pretty well always the same, since so few actually take the time to study the society or go there and spend time in everyday situations.They take the generic approach and like many, believe exactly what they read or in many cases, hear, with the dominant perceptions ( or misconceptions ) standing out.

On a more serious note though, it is often perceived that most people around the world would happily embrace Americana.I guess if MacDonalds is the flagship, it’s not too much of a stretch, but accepting many other social and cultural aspects gets a little more dicey, especially in the ME.

But the article was no doubt written in jest, and I posted it for that reason only.
