The tougher decision is to sacrifice personal and political gain for stability and peaceful negotiations. Junior & crew looks like he clearly prefers personal profit over the public good.

Considering all the excuses, personal immediate economic and political well-being is obviously Junior's goal... for Junior, not the American people, who will soon be subject to escalating attacks on our homeland, and continued deterioration of the economy, thanks to Carl Rove & the Bush Cabal's kleptocracy.

You are obviously sold on the idea of unilateral military attacks without Congressional approval, that the US can afford to declare worldwide "terrorism patrol", that the Constitution allows unilateral Executive Branch declarations of war and martial law-type proclamations from the JD, and the policy change from world cooperation to US dictating its interests makes sense.

While the US is far and away the most powerful nation the world has ever seen, that's too intoxicating for the emerging dictatorship that Bush & Co. are fond of. Lessons of history both ancient and very recent show that hubris leads to failure.
