" Well I don't think that has anything to do with tractor-pulls and WWWF wrestling, and I don't believe there is or ever will be an interest in going that far down the road.I can see the headlines now :THE ROCK ON TRIAL IN THE HAGUE FOR BASHING GUY WITH CHAIR IN WWWF WAR We discussed the ICC at length here at the time, with the majority agreeing that soldiers on missions might be subjected to unfair political harassment, even though the majority of US allies didn't share the same level of concern. I felt the level of concern was well overstated, just as I felt the need for an outright attack on Iraq was well overstated. But that appears to be a trend now from the current administration, and the rest of the World is beginning to be a little more suspect of the blustering and fear mongering, necessary or not. Measured response is not one of this administration's stronger attributes, and has the effect of diminishing it's credibility when something truly worthy of these reactions comes into play. But the reaction from the other countries has been favorable by allowing certain aspects of the court's powers to be diminished towards America. There's both good and bad in that, like many other things, but it disclosed a trend that we are witnessing now.It may have been politically motivated to some degree, with Israel being a beneficiary of the US position that called the legitimacy of the court into question.Israel has been calling the legitimacy of the UN into question since its creation, except when it needs to crap on it. <GG> JMO
