Micahel: Yes, I have studied that relationship. I suggest you take your chart back to 1995. You will see a lower trendline and an upper flat giving the ratio the look of an ascending triangle for a few years. and you will see the failure this year of the lower trendline under a ratio black oxy in July <g>. But I like the SPX/SOX ratio too for a macro chaeck.
