I dunno, Derek. Debka has been right often enough that I lend them some credence, but not much when they go up against Israeli intelligence. I agree with you it's been too long since we've seen a tape from OBL -- what anniversary could they be saving it for? Still, I thought I'd post it.

The Israelis do not like the US and Saudi Arabia to have close ties and they'll do whatever they can to separate us (as if it requires that much). Probably the best hoot that Debka ever pulled was the one where they said that the Red Chinese were coming over the border into Afghanistan to take on the US. Any glance at a map of Afghanistan will show that this was unlikely at best, and noting where the Northern Alliance power bases were made it quite impossible. -- Carl
