Being a kid, i quickly identified USA as good guys. Commies bad guys. Propaganda works on children more then anyone Propaganda? Oh please. Even only now is the full enormity of the depraved barbarity of the "Evil Empire" being revealed. And don't even get me started on the Soviet Bioweapons program. The "propaganda" you abjure was only making educated guesses as to the true horror of the Soviet regime. Reagan's "Evil Empire" phrase was mild. I think Kurz's "The Horror" more appropriate.
