John, you charged Bush with laying out "facts" that were not true. When I asked you what you were talking about

>>What "facts" have not turned out to be true? ...

You suddenly shift the blame onto your inscrutable friends

I have no idea what's in their minds. That comes from a comment I made in the conversation to which they nodded their heads

But your exact words were

As for the imputation that whatever Bush says is automatically disbelieved, I find that very widely assumed. A conversation with three friends, none of my political stripes, in the local library Friday was exactly that. And I think Bush has walked himself into that dilemma by the number of reasons he has offered for invading Iraq and the number of times the "facts" he offered turned out to be not true.

In other words, you gave it as your own opinion that Bush had set himself up for incredulity because of all the "facts" he offered that turned out not to be true.

Now please specify what you're talking about, offer some evidence or back down from the statement.
