Unless you can read alternate futures, and are psychic, all writings about what might have happened are opinions, and not facts. I understand that you think everything you believe is a fact, and have the ability to tell that other opinions are also "facts" and wrong to boot, but you are just a big bag of opinions- and you don't even know it. You are amazingly funny without realizing it. Good job.

The ultimate irony of our system is that the people who scream loudest about how much they love the US, don't even appreciate the most wonderful things about it, and would like to turn America into a police state. Of course that is just opinion. :-) Honey child. have a good day reporting your fellow citizens. It is always such a pleasure to read your posts.

it is easy to sit back comfortably in your arm chair and speculate about war, right, wrong and US policy

it is quite another to lay your life on the line for what you believe in, while at the same time ensuring the freedom of those Sunday afternoon quarterbacks

it gives you a perspective others cannot possibly have, unless they have done the same, risked the same

and for that umbrella of protection, we owe our thanks and respect to those who have served in the military - they've earned that, you've earned that

is America always right? no

is hindsight better than foresight? yes

will we make mistakes? yes

but we try to do the right things, as America, as Americans

our political system is set up with many safeguards, checks and balances - the senate, the congress, the supremes, a president, elections, conservatives, liberals, the constitution, laws, open debate......

it's not perfect, but I truly believe it is the best system in the world and for many struggling democracies, the ideal they strive for

it has made us strong and a world leader, hence a target too - pluses and minuses - but the pluses far outweigh the minuses
