Cracking up over EDGE

Cax,

<< Come on Eric, this doesn't crack you up? >>

As a Qualcomm shareholder, it most certainly does not.

As a Nokia shareholder, it most certainly does.

One of the funniest things I have ever seen was Nokia showing up for a CDG sponsored DigEvent one year ago for a debate between Nokia's Juha Lappalainen and Jeff Belk of Qualcomm.

Remember that one?

Juha led off with a straight face (and I'm sure he had a very hard time keeping it straight) by introducing Nokia's "3G Roadmap" featuring 3G GSM EDGE as well as 3GSM WCDMA evolving into 3GSM MultiRadio.

Despite Jeff Belk's fine performance, CDG pulled the DigEvent about one month after it was archived. It is to my knowledge the only CDG DigEvent ever pulled from the archives.

Cracked me up then.

Still cracks me up when I think about it today.

Best,

- Eric -
