and when spx can do it on its own, the purse string doesn't need to be so loose then.

also notice at each critical juncture, we get some kind of upgrades / reassurances on key stocks ... started with csco upgrade (stong buy on valuation basis), then came ibm, ...

i wonder why Ballmen did not say the same thing just 2 days ago during msft cc ?

OF course it is the FED, the market is manipulated to keep this economy afloat - the MARKET IS THE ECONOMY!

That is why a crash risk is so high - this manipulation is mighty risky as it is stopping the market from doing what it naturaly wants to do.

You wonder why at every major break down we some how have a miracle bounce. They are trying to let the air out of this bloated pig slowly and avoid a crash.

But no one wants to talk about coming loan defaults from Brazil and Argentina or the extent of the bad loans in Japan.
