Yes, "Vickey" (her adopted name) actually worked another part-time job as well as going to school, which she carefully tried to avoid acknowledging outright lest she "get in trouble" for it.

I'd say its an Asian trait. Only after living in the western world for many years, did I learn to be comfortable living off credit cards etc. :-)
