Where to inspect? I suppose Saddam has got a few $$100 million to spend [judging from his palaces] so maybe some unpaid USSR sources have figured they'd get their back-pay from the criminal regime they were stuck in, via some sales to the friendly Chechen Moslem intermediary. I heard that some Israelis had even sold arms to some Palestinians, which were obviously not destined to suppress Moslem uprisings, so it would not be beyond the realms of possibility that Saddam has had a supply from somewhere. Heck, even some people in China and Pakistan have had good cause to think that maybe slipping him a nuke wouldn't be all bad. Well, probably not China, who would be more inclined to support North Korea in such a way, to help avoid dominance by the border-patrolling and threatening USA. It wouldn't be desirable from a Beijing point of view to have the USA moving from South Korea right up to the border just a hop step and jump away from Beijing. Better to give North Korea some nukes, keep them in the fold and use them as a buffer. If push comes to shove in Taiwan, China could always roll a bit of stuff onto the border of South Korea and see if it gives. A nuke would probably move the barbed wire out of the way and make people sit up and take notice. Who was it said we'd had the end of history? It's just beginning! This is global history unfolding before our eyes. After this lot, we'll have a World Government of a federal nature. That's my prediction. We all know that anarchy and Law of the Jungle is not the way to run a railroad. Freedom vs Big Brother - got to get that balance right. Mqurice
