General Tommy Franks, Commander in Chief US Central Command, on Sunday witnessed the ongoing Pakistan-US joint Army exercise INSPIRED GAMBIT III, says a press release issued by Inter Services Public Relations Directorate.

General Tommy R Franks visited the exercise area along with other members of his entourage where they were received by Lt-Gen Javed Alam Khan and Maj-Gen Mir Haider Ali, General Officer Commanding, gave a detailed briefing on conduct of various phases of the ongoing exercise to the visiting dignitaries.

Later, General Franks witnessed a demonstration of assault across water obstacle. He also met the troops and appreciated the professional competence of both Pakistan and US Army soldiers and hoped that this joint exercise would further enhance professional experience of the participating troops. A large number of senior Pakistan Army officials also witnessed the exercise.
