Tin - No shit. I kept waiting for him to address the enormous impact of the post-internet ecommerce revolution on traditional V measurement, but he seems to have accidentally left that part of late 20th century economic evolution out of his theory.

Les, He had me until the accounts receivable/payable argument, which made no sense at all to me. Perhaps I'm just dense this morning.

It's almost all nonsense. The only monetary velocity that counts is the speed at which a dollar can be balance transferred from one credit card to another.
