Also there is the matter that China has long range nuclear tipped missiles and a large army and a billion people. Makes it kind of hard to intervene in China... Once ANY country gets the BOMB it becomes pretty difficult to "intervene"; even if they can't deliver it to us by missle there are lots of alternative methods of using the weapon "against" us. There is a huge gap in the logic of the opponents of dealing with Saddam; they don't seem to be able to comprehend that the entire picture changes once a nation gets the bomb.
