I believe the intelligence services are still trying to figure out who Atta met on his mutliple trips to Damascus, however.

And if you keep on connecting dots which may or may not be present, I am sure the journey will lead you into Jerusalem and claims there is connection between Atta and Sharon. <chuckle>

You can quit "aha-ing" over this. The pro-war arguments in no way depend on finding operational cooperation between Iraq and Al Qaeda pre 9/11. Preventing Saddam from getting nukes is quite reason enough.

Do I detect some sour grapes? <smile> If the president wants a war, the president will get a war. All other reasons matter very little.

That such a cooperation exists now is clear from Al Qaeda's threats to launch attacks in order to prevent an American invasion of Iraq.

More of your funny logic. While both al-Qaida and Iraq both have a common enemy in the US, al-Qaida's threat to launch attacks in order to prevent an American invasion of Iraq is consistent with their stated goal of preventing American hegemony in the Mideast: their jihad. It may be a sign of cooperation or it may not. There is no proof either way, but there is plenty of wishful thinking on your part.
