We have only evergreens in my backyard....but back in Sydney, my backyard would to dazzle with fall colors...we wouldn't mow the lawn for almost 3 months just to be able to enjoy the autumn to the fullest.... I like parks, the dry leaves spread around and heaped together is so beautiful...i also love long walks on narrow roads lined with dazzling red/gold trees... Silicon Valley isn't very fall-friendly....not very many trees around......and most of what we have is evergreens anyway...they say Yosemite looks spectacular in fall....
