I may be mistaken, but if one simply looked at Softie's guidance from the day they gave earnings, they were NOT implying that they'd have similar growth Q over Q moving forward. They didn't specifically say what Ballmer said, but I don't think they really misguided as much as conspirabears imply <g>

That said, the market clearly is sloughing off everything thrown its way. To my memory, those were MMM's weakest earnings and guidance in some time. . . but they're being bought. Dow took out its May downtrendline without a fight. Naz is nearing its, so should we really expect it to have more trouble? (freepish note: I expect it to <g>)

Check out the 10min chart at Velo's sight to see the wedge I'm looking at.

raptorgroupresearch.com

Ususally a swift decline from the top of the wedge should follow. I'm a bit concerned as weve been floundering around at the top of the wedge for a while.

Art Cashin called this mornings ramp " a low volume levitation" and stated specifically "I think they are running it up through a couple of chart points and forcing the shorts to cover". Art's the man, I actually believe he says what he thinks.
