Some of them are but even in those cases having a gun gives the woman more options. Also the 1/5th (assuming your info is accurate) that are not by men the women know adds up to a lot of rapes. It may give the woman more options, but it also gives the brute some options as well. There's a lot of rapes no matter which way you cut it. While it's true that crime has gone down [had you clicked on the provided links, you would have seen when], one thing that hasn't gone down is murder. Absolutely flat line. Death penalty, no death penalty, gun control, no gun control, good economic times, bad, it's flat. jttmab
