I know, that's why there's no chance in hell it would ever happen! The implications of adding all those new Senators and Representatives would be earthshaking. It calls to mind the pre-civil war era, when statehood politics was dominated by the slavery question. Our conservatives would be trying to admit Alberta, and our liberals would be trying to admit Wales.
