I listened to the briefing. That isn't what the Chief said, is it? They very pointedly avoided any indication of who the caller was.

Did I miss something?

Sniper Investigation
Message from Chief Charles Moose, dated October 20, 2002:

"To the person who left us a message at the Ponderosa last night: You gave us a telephone number. We do want to talk to you. Call us at the number you provided. Thank you."

A task force has been created that includes members of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms, FBI Baltimore Division, Montgomery County Police Department, Metropolitan Police Department, Prince Georges County Police Department, Prince William County, VA. Police Department, Spotsylvania County, VA Police Department, Virginia State Police, Maryland State Police and other area law enforcement agencies. They are in search of the individual(s) responsible for the sniper attacks in the Washington region.
