Definately was not a satelite problem that needed fixing.
100% positive that IE got corrupted.

I am not sure how.

I did have some stupid POS thing on my PC that kept asking me to do auto-updates of MSFT fixes. Could not get rid of the damn thing but I kept saying no.

If somehow that triggered an auto update of IE that failed, that could have done it.

At any rate IE was hosed. But who did it?
Chganging IE settings should not cause it to get corrupted, but who knows. When I had satelite pronblem I had to change proxy server setting and other stuff to switch from satelite back to modem, but that should not cause a problem if settings are restored (UNLESS there is a bug in IE that corrupts things if done in a certain sequence or something).

Who knows.
It was a frigging mess.
