I can empathize with your concerns. I have similar apprehensions with the motive behind some of the authors you have posted with regard to anti-semitism. There is a political agenda and let's not forget about that. This does not detract from the fact there is growing anti-semitism in many parts of Europe and in fringe corners of the world, including here, in the US. But there has also been an increase of anti-Arab sentiment following 9/11. It cuts both ways.

But painting critics of Israeli foreign policy as anti-semites still does not excuse the behavior of Sharon and his cohorts for some of their actions against Palestinian civilians. Of course, it is unfair to blame Sharon for the majority of the ills in the Israeli/Palestinian conflict as Arafat is, equally, an inhuman monster.

I cannot find any sympathetic political figures in the Mideast. My best wishes and regards are for the civilian population of the Mideast who must endure the cruelties of their leadership.
