That is basically what the Fed Model tries to capture. It looks at earnings yield and compares it to the 10 year treasury rate. It had the market under valued by some 35% at one point last month. Of course, interest rates spiked very low on fear and earnings projections are at best a guess. Tech has the issue of options expensing to deal with and oldies like Ford and GM and IBM have the issue of under funded pension plans.
