Michael, when the Americans came to train the Filipino soldiers, they brought with them house and road building equipments, medicines, and other things that helped especially those Muslim poor. The Americans succeeded in winning back the hearts of most Muslims. Now the people know who their enemies really are. Now they are realizing the terrorists are just using the name of Allah for personal gains. The Terrorists who harm both Christians and their co-Muslims alike --- will keep on harming people and properties but will not succeed all-out without the people's help.
