KLP, "Take your cranky fingers and brain back over to Europe where they appreciate you" Gustave and the rest of the social leftists aren't much appreciated in Europe either. The social left is badly fractured there. There is no consensus whatsoever as to which brand of socialism constitutes an appropriate alternative to capitalism. Also, the leftist Euro-trash inteligentsia consists mostly of the disgruntled and otherwise unemployable who sit around McDonalds and Starbucks all day espousing anti-capitalist rhetoric while downing their egg McMuffins with French Roast espresso. The movement is faintly reminiscent of the 60's when Yippies would espouse revolution during the day and smoke pot at night. No discipline, no commitment and politics that are incomprehensible to the average person. Virtually the only consensus within the Euro-left is their hatred for America and the tendency to automatically support any enemy we make. Saddam Hussein is a good case in point. This guy could care less about social justice in his own country much less socialism. Yet, aside from the fact that he is a complete tyrant and enjoys killing his own people, he is completely acceptable to people like Gustav.
