On the one hand, it's easy to see how arguing with people of that nature is futile. It's a small minority and their views will (hopefully) never be accepted. On the other hand, such a small minority did indeed take over a whole country once. Any "insurance" against that ever happening again is not necessarily futile. Whatever is the "right thing" to do is a puzzling question.
