Hamas, Hizbullah (and even Arafat) are big problems and they all DO NOT represent the views of the majority of the Palestinians

This would be good news if the Pals had a democracy. Unfortunately, they don't.

On the other hand, I feel Sharon and hardliners like Netanyahu do not accurately represent the views of the majority of the folks in Israel today

Nope, polls say different -- Sharon is polling 70% support. That's what two years of suicide-bombing random Israelis will get you. The message "Death to Israel" has been delivered loud and clear.

We need NEW LEADERSHIP on both sides in order to build acceptable levels of trust...

You'll probably get Bibi in next year, if that's a comfort.

The Terrorist Groups will have to be dealt with one way or another

Sharon is the best guy to deal with them, the PA obviously has no interest in dealing with them (much more of the 'if you can't beat 'em, join 'em' school, wouldn't you say?)
