The difficulty is to understand what it's saying. And to decipher anything intelligible from the garbage, noise and opinions of experts. Amazing how small the world is today. How everyone (everyone who counts or who can count, that is) hangs on every move the Dow makes, all over the world. A continuous movie holding everyone in a trance. For richer or poorer..... I am long past attempting to find people who agree with me, in fact, I find it hard to agree with myself most-times. But so what? As we are being driven into the inner sanctuaries of our minds the awful outside world becomes less and less important. I hate to imagine how I would feel if I would actually wake up to the realities of my own life here in SA. Complete lack of any future prospects. Probably not much for the present, either. So I enjoy myself, like I did once upon a time when I used to talk to "voices" on the radio, by writing to "names" on the internet. Is this real --- or surreal --- or what? Is this what life is all about? Is what I see on the TV and read about on the internet really America? Does George Bush actually exist? Or is he a cute bit of computer graphics that someone designed to rule the world? Do people really fly planes into buildings and go around shooting others just for the fun of it? I'm not even talking about blowing up young people who are doing nothing worse than dancing and having a few drinks at a bar. Shit, what a fucking awful place we found for ourselves. And it's getting worse. I had better stop this and think about the $2 that the gold price went up today. And rejoice. Dammit, it could have gone down. And then, how would we have felt? At least there was something to make us happy. Let's have a drink to the gold price. Cheers. Aurum vobiscum Bro Searle
