Zeev,

Thanks for your perspective. I happened on a dated paper that explains the CMOS erosion of the IF/RF space.

In the case of RF circuits, the smaller channel lengths translate into higher operating frequencies for the transistors. This allows CMOS analog circuits to move up the transceiver chain towards the RF carrier frequency.

Would be nice to see a current update of Figures 3 & 4.

One comment on the VTSS call, was something akin to 'We have working technology for 40Gb/s, but there is no market interest for it yet'.

Zeev,
Factoids in my space from yesterday. Wachovia/First Union talking to Prudential about a joint venture in brokerage.
Bank One rumored to be talking to JPMorgan/Chase re: acquision. My gut tells me Merrill will be purchased by either Bank of America or Wells Fargo. The loser of that battle may go after Schwab and so on.
Question to you and thread--Is this something we should expect in the tech arena. If so who buys who? Those dollar stocks i own may have a future yet. Mike
