Thanx W.F. ; You nailed me..Main thing that sank the old boat was
they couldn't keep the fuel filters change fast enough to keep
the engine going, hence main pump working. Also a loss of power means
you wind up at the full mercy of the sea.

Late in the trip , Low fuel tanks , heavy seas..old tanks , and the
sediments which normally wouldn't get sucked into the fuel lines
Does..and bad too.
( that's my opinion & I've been there and had it happen,
and I wasn't even in that bad a storm when it happened ; lucky for me.)

Went back out, ( Tug Boat ) and I'm still on call.
Next few weeks will have me posting a lot less
I have to look over a lot of real estate going on
the TAX sale Auction block, they finally
cut the minimum bids to zero.
