KLP, We'd better all hope he is a homegrown wacko... My growing belief is that he is a homegrown wacko. Something that Chief Moose said yesterday pretty much clinched it for me. I don't remember his exact words, but Moose related that the sniper said; it wasn't just about killing, that there were larger issues involved. Well, what larger issues can he possibly be referring to? We're all familiar with money and revenge and I don't believe it is money. It is impossible to transfer money without exposing yourself. Even electronic transactions can be traced. If this psycho had an idea about making some money out of this he should've figured out that problem before he started. We are talking about somebody who is at least partially deranged or deluded and is now trying desperately to justify his actions with some ludicrous rationalization after the fact. Like Dirty Harry told the Mayor of San Francisco, "This guy isn't going to stop killing. He enjoys it."
