" I posted that armor was not requested for the Oct 3 raid....Armor that was requested for the whole theater of operations, would have been too late to be used in a rescue, according to Browden's investigation and others. Gen. Garrison did have Pakistani armor on call which he ultimately used. I agree with Browden and others, the fiasco was largely due to the gung-ho , we can do it alone and not leave bodies attitude, of the Rangers and Delta Force...
