Oh, John, buddy, you have both my congratulations and my prayers. It's a great moment, but I'm sure a lot of the joy is missing at the moment. Hang in, it will return, and you will all be laughing at home again. 3 things to do for Drea...1)Make her cough and deep breathe, frequently. Pneumonia is always a possibility after belly surgery. 2) Have her tell you if she starts feeling short of breath, and then you tell the RN. Sometimes we give too much fluid and it starts to back up into the lungs. No big deal if you catch it early, stop the fluids, and make the patient pee like crazy. 3) When she gets home, give her 10 days off for good behavior. Hire somebody, if you need to, but let her rest.

Wish I was there. Hang tough, bro.

Love, Mike

I sat in a room by myself for most of the night.

Yeah, been there 'n' done that. Well almost. Was in the the room with the better half - monitoring. Scary.

She is an amazing woman.

Sounds like my better half. If so, be careful. She may want to do more than she's capable of. Find some way to take the load off of her.

All the best to you and all of your newly enlarged family.

papa-

YIKES! scary... but fortunately, it is a good day to bleed. <g>
keep a good eye open and lend her some life energy through
your touch and voice. she'll be ok.

here's a prayer for your whole fambly...

Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do

Oh the morning sun in all its glory
Greets the day with hope and comfort too
And you fill my life with laughter
You can make it better
Ease my troubles that's what you do

There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine
Like the sun at the end of the day
We should give thanks and pray to the One

Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do

There's a love that's divine
And it's yours and it's mine
And it shines like the sun
At the end of the day we will give thanks
And pray to the One

Have I told you lately that I love you
Have I told you there's no one above you
Fill my heart with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles, that's what you do

Take away my sadness
Fill my life with gladness
Ease my troubles that's what you do
Fill my life with gladness
Take away my sadness
Ease my troubles that's what you do.
