Um. That wasn't a deduction, that was a profession of faith following a religious conversion, or perhaps the manifestation of a miraculous cure of a mysterious illness. Cf: #reply-17519467 .

Giving these people room to live is the right thing to do,

Pulling out of Lebanon was the right thing to do. But it was interpreted by the Palestinians as a sign of weakness. And look what it led to. The Israelis have now learned that it does not pay to give up anything unless it is part of a negotiation to the end of this mess.

I am bowing out of this argument. The sides are so polarized that I see no resolution.

I can tell you, and whether it horrifies you or not is irrelevant, that suicide bombing is a completely self-defeating policy, and that the children of Palestine will never know peace until they stop it.

Zonder,

Just the other day you spent an enormous amount of time debating CB on the issue of POW's from the Taliban and Al-Queda being true POW's despite the fact that the Taliban were not 'Internationally' recognized as the Government of Afghanistan.

Now you argue about internationaly recognized borders.

You seem a bit morally mixed up on which UN or other international recognitions are meaningful :-)

ps I think they are not POW's and I think Israel should withdraw (but wish it could have been done under Oslo).
