A Canadian Senate study group has recommended that Canada legalize marijuana.

foxnews.com

the US is, not surprisingly, not happy with the idea of legal marijuana on its northern border. Smuggling in this area is already a well established practice; with the open border and quick water access to lots of isolated spots close to I-5, a lot of B.C. grown marijuana works its way into Washington. Since we can see the Canadian border from our house, and friends of ours boat over all the time for this and that, adding the other to the this and that would be trivial.

Will be interesting to follow the discussion.
