Bush: king of political cash flow

csmonitor.com

By Linda Feldmann
Staff writer of The Christian Science Monitor
10/22/02

The following is an excerpt:

"….part of the cost of political travel is covered by the taxpayers,
who pay for Secret Service protection and Air Force One no matter
what the president is doing - as in previous administrations.
Critics partly blame the press for not holding the White House and Bush more
accountable for being so political at a time of grave national concern.
The White House, for its part, has worked to keep the press
away from fundraisers, barring even pool coverage of many events "

Jonathan Chait

He is listed as a Senior Editor of New Republic, and when I did a google, I got a lot of articles defending the Democratic side. I spotted the article from a reference to it in NRO.

So, on the face of it, it looks like yet another piece by a not-liberal telling liberals what to do and think.

Lemmee see John... Is it just a matter of Bush being president and you being unwilling to back any action he might take against Saddam??

Were you against Clinton's "Operation Desert Fox", or his launching Tomahawks against what later turned out be a pharmaceutical factory that sold medicines to Iraq??

There were FAR MORE military sorties launched against Iraq during Clinton's administration than have been launched during Bush's (because Clinton was president longer)..

Did you support those??

Would you support such an action were Gore president and he decided on pursuing the disarmament, and/or ouster, of Saddam Hussein??

I would... Even if I don't like Gore.. I would support the action...
