Steve & PV: Steve: as they say in politically correct PTA meetings--you speak my mind. PV: I agree on the VIX, I can't quite parse it out and am trying to figure out how it bases here and spikes up vis a vis previous movements. I somehow feel certain this one is headed higher, and if the VIX is still "pre-final-spike-puke your stocks out," then it is not yet time to deploy serious capital, although it is choppy to short. Your "if it were a stock I'd buy it," phrase is quite smart. "As for the CPC:Vix, I have given up on that one, lol. It stayed on an apparent buy signal even as the indices fell to new lows. I might just check in on it from time to time, but for now, I haven't a clue what it might be saying." I can't thank you enough for that, since every time I tried to look at that graph I reached for the ibuprofen. Kb
