They wouldn't have an account number. The guy may have asked for an untraceable domestic deposit to a new account. They may have replied that such is impossible.

On the one hand, a sniper that can continue to work, elude 1000 policeman, roadblocks, spy planes, etc.

On the other, a ill conceived deposit of a piddly sum requested not at the beginning, but down the line of deaths.

They don't have an airtight lead because the money thing, like the confusing letter, the ambigious tarot card, are bogus and meant to increase the data but decrease knowledge. The best way to evade reality is to engage in disruptive camaflouge - to talk all day without saying a thing.
