It is the Arabs who are really good at hating.

Really, Nadine. Aren't you coming awfully close to making a racist statement? Just substitute the word "Jews" in the statement above, and see how that flies. That is not something I would ever say - about any ethnic group. I have criticized Arab CULTURE and CIVILISATION as strongly as failures etc., but never called "Arabs good at hating".

Why do I bring it up? Even though I personally would never make such a statement about ANY ethnic group, ordinarily I wouldn't bother to point out your statement. The reason I did it this time, is because you came very close to making a scurrilous accusation against me of anti-semitism. Not only is it not true, not only is there no PROOF of it ("intuition" about a "code" isn't worth crock here, as I have my intuition too) - PROOF, baby, or an argument, so I can demolish it - but I have never even come close to saying anything as subject to opprobium as "Arabs [Jews, X, Y,] are really good at hate." So, for now, I'm not going to beat you over the head with it, but I'll store it for another occasion should you again come at me with the "anti-semitic" ploy, at which point I'll beat you up with it black and blue.

Which again, points to the absurdity and the stupidity of such ploys and PC-mongering. It is simply not conducive to a debate. I'm not sitting here going Nadine is "anti-hamitic", and I dare say you don't have the right to insinuate that I'm anti-semitic - for if we were to get into an argument on this score, you'd come up with zero credible evidence, and I'd have something here.

So how about we lay off the schoolyard dirty tricks, and concentrate on substantive issues?

What moral law of the universe entitles you to hold the Israelis to the most rarefied of ethical standards in the very face of barbarity -- barbarity whose existence you admit, but which you think should have no bearing on the case?

I don't think I hold Israelis to a most rarified ethical standard - I apply the same standard to my country of citizenship - U.S.A., and ethnic background - Sweden, and cultural identification - Western. And no, I'm not some soft-headed woozy lefty cultural-relativist. I try to be scrupulously fair and truthful to ALL. Which doesn't mean I take anything lying down.
