Martin, ZA free is fine. I block ads with AddSubtract for which I paid $20. [They offer a trial and quote $30 as the price, but send a special offer later for $20]. SIer formerly known as Joe B recommended AddSubtract.

PS: I have EndItAll installed but don't use it any more because all my installs and updates work fine without closing everything. I do close the AV program when I think of it.

I was using ZA 2.6 free. I was getting a ton of hits and I wanted to trace them so I bought the pro version, then upgraded when 3.0 came out. That's the one with ad blocking etc. 3.0 was a #%&^ing disaster so I went back to 2.6. The free version does everything you want for security. As gottfried suggest you are better off using other programs for ad blocking etc. I use AdSubtract it works great and CookiePal for cookies also great.

in edit: put yourself behind a router for about $75 and end security problems
