Doesn't Ashland have asbestos exposure? Correct me if I'm wrong, I haven't done any work on it. I'm learning quickly to stay away from those as even things that look like no-brainers with very slight exposure to asbestos (CR, NSI for example) lose me money every time I stray from a strict no asbestos diet.

Holly recommended here by the great oracle Forbes:

forbes.com

"The same kind of investment motivation is what puts several exploration and production companies at the head of the energy pack in attraction here: Holly Corp. (nyse: HOC - news - people ), Southwest Energy (nyse: SWN - news - people ), Toreador Resources (nasdaq: TRGL - news - people ), Range Resources (nyse: RRC - news - people ), Ultra Petroleum (amex: UPL - news - people ) and Swift Energy (nyse: SFY - news - people )."

So of course, -g-, I shall continue to trim my Holly position. (In 5/2/00 @ about $1.60; cut 10% 4/09/07 @ 61.75.)
finance.yahoo.com

And, fwiw, also trimming UPL position (purchases 8/05 @40.73; 9/05 @45.31-55.70; out 55.07-55.80)
