Brainwashed Portfolio Managers Keep Buying
Wednesday October 23, 10:34 am ET

By James J. Cramer,

It's incredible that the hedge fund folks keep panicking. It's incredible that they don't know what to do about what's happening. They hear KLA-Tencor (NasdaqNM:KLAC - News) do poorly on top of Texas Instruments (NYSE:TXN - News) doing poorly and they say "Come on bulls, sell already!"

They don't understand. They don't get the life-and-death struggle the portfolio managers are having right now. The managers don't want to sell. They are like the brokers in that funny Schwab commercial: They want to "buy, buy, buy!" In their world, you can't make any money selling. You can only make money buying.
